Desk: In a suspected terror attack in central Paris, two person was killed and four wounded.
However, the knifeman or the attacker was shot dead by the police in the Opera district. He reportedly had called out ‘Allah Akbar’.
Islamic State (IS) later claimed responsibility for its attack saying that one of its soldiers had carried out the attack.
As per the French media, the attacker was a man born in 1997 in the southern Russian republic of Chechnya. His parents have been held for questioning.
French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted in French which roughly translates to “France has once again paid in blood, but will not give an inch to the enemies of freedom.”
