Cape Canaveral: The first test flight of the world’s most powerful rocket Falcon Heavy has been launched successfully by SpaceX on Tuesday from its Kennedy Space Centre in Florida. Falcon Heavy is nearly 70 metre tall or around 229.6 feet. It has a mass of 1,420,788 kg and total width of 12.2 m or 39.9 feet.

The CEO and the billionaire businessman Elon Musk has sent a red coloured Tesla Roadster with the 23-storrey tall jumbo rocket which is now going beyond the planet Mars. The CEO and the founder has shared images of the red Tesla Roadster which is currently floating in Earth’s orbit. The company has also posted a 4-hour long video on the space progress of the car.

Meanwhile, the Tesla Roadster is a mock payload. It has been launched by SpaceX on the top of Falcon Heavy. The CEO Musk said on his tweet that the rocket had exceeded Mars orbit and kept going to the between Mars and the planet Jupiter.

He further tweeted a map of the cherry red car’s way into spaces. It has a space-suited mannequin in the driver’s seat as well which is named as ‘Starman’ and is a tribute to the late singer David Bowie’s famous song “Space Odyssey”.

Noteworthy, Falcon Heavy is the world’s most powerful rocket which flight its first from the same landing pads where NASA’s Apollo moon missions began. It is composed of 9-engine cores with 27 Merlin engines and can generate more than 5 million pounds of thrust at liftoff.

Additionally, the rocket can carry around 64 metric tons into the space. And most important part is that Falcon Heavy can do this at one-third the cost than other rockets with such capabilities. The specialty of this rocket is that it has been designed to carry humans into spaces. Thus, the successful launch of Falcon Heavy is a major success for the private company SpaceX.
