Desk: At least 63 ISIS terrorists had been killed by the Afghan security forces in 24 hours. Ministry of Defence (MoD) in Afghanistan said that the operations were launched in various parts such as Nangarhar, Uruzgan, Farah, Kandahar and Paktia on Saturday.
Arms and ammunitions have also been recovered from the operation.
Meanwhile, a week earlier, at least 37 IS terrorists have been killed after a US airstrike has been conducted in Afghanistan’s Jowzjan.
The news of the airstrike has been confirmed by the spokesperson of provincial governor Mohammad Reza Ghafoori. He further said that 10 IS terrorists with a local commander have been seized. 3 of their base camps have also been reportedly destroyed.
Meanwhile, the air strike had been conducted in Sar Dara and Moghol villages of Darzab district and Chawma Choqor village of Qushtapa district.
