Desk: Clashes broke out in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad area between two groups on Friday night. The intensity of the clash was such that section 144 has been imposed and police have been deployed.
The clashes broke out when the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation had cut the water connection in the area due to non-clearance of bills. Water connection was also cut at one of the religious places reportedly. Post this, things took a violent turn.
Hundreds of youths took to the streets to pelt stones and around 50 shops were gutted. The police resorted to tear gas shelling to control the tense situation.
Several, including police personnel are injured.
