Heavy Rainfall Triggers Landslide In Darjeeling

District Correspondent, Darjeeling: Darjeeling received heavy rainfall since Sunday afternoon triggering landslide on Monday morning. Fortunately there are no reports of injury or loss of life.

The landslide occurred in 3 places, namely Tung Gairi Gown, Dilaram and Ting area.

The landslide which caused damage occurred in the Ting area, which is 8 km from the Kurseong town. The landslide has damaged two houses as mud moved inside the house. No one was injured in this incident.

According to the weather reports, heavy rainfall is likely to continue on Monday also.
