The present trend is currently showing BJP leading on 106 seats, Congress 77, JD(S)+ 38, Others 02.
However, in a surprise turn of events, the Congress said that it will extend support to the JD(S) in forming the next government in Karnataka where the election is likely to throw up a hung Assembly.
