Kolkata: Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao came to Kolkata and meet Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday. Important discussions about forming non-BJP front of Opposition parties might be discussed in this meet.
A TMC leader told the media, “It is not only Opposition parties, but also allies of BJP, which are also mulling the option of forming an alternative front. Recently, TDP severed its ties with BJP and we do not know who will follow suit. Being the flagbearer of an alternative front, we have to continuously hold talks with other regional parties as well as with those who are allies of BJP,” said a senior TMC leader.”
Reportedly, earlier Chandrashekhar Rao also talked with Mamata Banerjee over phone. Earlier the TRS chief hinted about creating third front against BJP by creating alliance with the opposition parties of the country.
