News Correspondent, Canning: A TMC worker died after sustaining bullet injuries during Trinamool-CPM clashes on Monday during the ongoing Panchayat elections. The incident occurred at South 24 Pargana’s Kultali’s Mariganj’s Balirchor Primary.

Clashes broke out between TMC and SUCI in which Arif Ali Gaji, a TMC worker was killed after being hit by a bullet. The SUCI has been blamed for firing at the TMC party. Arif was seriously hit by a bullet in his left chest. He was rushed to the hospital but he but was declared dead by the hospital authorities.

The CPM and SUCI party accused the ruling TMC party of giving proxy votes in 7 out of 13 booths.
